Andy heads our team and brings two decades of experience in providing financial advice and business management. Dually qualified as an Aircraft Engineer and Financial Advisor, Andy also enjoys pursuits such as long-distance running, making cocktails and creating outdoor art sculptures. He is a dedicated (tragic?) supporter of both the Cleveland Browns NFL team and Sheffield United football club –“we’re all blades aren’t we!”.

Andy is a Fellow of the Insurance Broker Association of NZ (FIBANZ) and holds the title of ‘Chartered Qualified Insurance Broker’, a distinction earned by very few in the industry. He is qualified with a Master’s degree in Professional Practice (Organizational Management), a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Management (Sales & Marketing), a Diploma in Financial Services (Insurance Brokering), a NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5), and a National Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering.

One of Andy’s key specialties is helping clients get the most from their ACC benefits while reducing their levies. His solution produces more comprehensive protection—covering not just accidents, but also illness and mental health. That means triple the coverage for around the same overall cost. It’s a unique solution offered by only a select few advisors in New Zealand

Residing in Taupo, Andy shares his life with his wife Leanne with their five adult children spread over the globe!

JenBro are corporate members of the Insurance Brokers Association of NZ (IBANZ).

IBANZ gives strength and support to members enabling them to better meet their challenges and opportunities. They achieve this through staying involved with Government activity and legislative reform impacting the insurance industry, and more specifically fire and general brokers and their clients.

The association takes part in regular meetings with many Government agencies including the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), the Financial Markets Authority (FMA), the Natural Hazards Commission (NHC- formally Earthquake commission), Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ), Internal Affairs (IA) and Treasury as well as Ministers and opposition MPs. The scope and nature of IBANZ interaction with government agencies is constantly evolving.

IBANZ engage with key insurers and the Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ) to support the interests of brokers and their clients and act as a sounding board where input is required. The relationship between insurers and brokers is key to the success of all stakeholders within the insurance industry.

The IBANZ Code of Professional Conduct provides the public with assurance that Members act in a professional and ethical manner. It includes a disciplinary and complaints committee to review concerns that may arise.
